Changes to your EBS MoneyManager and Teen Savings Account

From 17 June 2019, the Terms & Conditions for EBS MoneyManager and EBS Teen Savings accounts will change. These updated conditions are available in full at the below links.

What’s Changing?

One of the big changes is that after 17 June 2019 whenever you get a new debit card it will be a contactless enabled card so you can simply touch to pay for items quickly. You can find information on how to use the contactless feature below.

We will also be making some changes for when you are shopping online. From 17 June 2019, you will have the option to limit the amount you spend while shopping online. If you would like to do this, please contact us at 1850 654 328 or 01 665 8080 between 9am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

Also, the Mastercard Securecode service, which you sometimes see when you confirm a purchase, will change to Mastercard Identity Check. You can find more information about what this change will mean for you below.

Mastercard Identity Check

At the moment when you shop online using your EBS debit card, sometimes you will enter a partial password to confirm your purchase. From 17 June 2019, instead of a partial password you will occasionally be asked to enter a one-time passcode sent to your mobile phone. This will make shopping online more secure.
As the one-time passcode will be sent to your mobile phone, we will need to have a mobile phone number for you. If you are unsure if we hold a number for you, please contact us at 1850 654 328 or 01 665 8080 between 9am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

You will see that we have made some other minor changes to the wording of some conditions, but these do not change how you use your account. A list of these changes can be found below.
