Hidden Disabilities Sunflower

EBS recognises the Sunflower Lanyard.

Call us on 0818 300 107 Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00 excluding bank holidays.

Some disabilities are not visible. This means it may not be obvious when someone needs a little extra help.

We want banking to be easy and respectful for everyone.

That is why we recognise the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower.

What is the Sunflower and who is it for?

  • This is a discreet way to let our people know if someone has a non-visible disability and may need a little more help or time. It is often worn as a lanyard, pin or wristband.
  • People can choose to wear it if they want to.
  • You can ask for a Sunflower lanyard in our offices.

What does it mean if you wear the Sunflower?

If you wear the Sunflower, it lets us know that you may need:

  • More time
  • Clear and simple explanations
  • A calm and patient approach
  • Practical help if needed

We will never ask what your disability is, or to prove it.

We recognise the Sunflower

We are trained to recognise the Sunflower and to respond with the level of patience, understanding and respect that you need.
