We launched the Covid-19 Temporary Agent Withdrawal service in April 2020 to support our customers during the Covid 19 Pandemic.
It meant that if you were unable to visit an EBS office, you could nominate someone you trust to take out cash for you. Thankfully, public health measures and restrictions have eased greatly and fewer and fewer customers now use this service regularly.
Instead, they are choosing to bank online and make contactless payments, which means they are using over-the-counter cash services less and less.
Because of this, we are removing this emergency support service from 15th November 2021, but rest assured that we will continue to monitor public health guidance measures closely.
